Exercise is very important for children. Not only is it important for the growth of their bones, but it is also very important because of the stimulus it provides to their motor neurons and how this motor development relates to their entire body’s early growth.
Physical exercise is one of the best ways to promote healthy growth for our children. However, as a kids fitness trainer, I have witnesseed a very sad fact that has surfaced amongst our youth population today as evidenced by research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showing that obesity has doubled in the last decade. Coupled with budget cutbacks in our schools, physical education and physical activity have been seriously affected in our children’s health and fitness. It is imperative that we take more control and do something to counter-balance this trend. I am one professional who has dedicated much of my adult life in working with kids in one format or another, and now I am taking it personally as I work to fight for healthier lifestyles for children. I am very passionate about what is happening with the children of today.

Let me help your child to become not only physically active but helping them to have fun at the same time. Youth fitness, kids fitness is what I do. It is what I am all about. Youth fitness, sports training for kids, is not just for the budding athlete, but for the kid on the couch, the kids playing in their backyards, the kids on the team, and for the kids who have special needs. No child should be made to feel as though they can not compete where their health and fitness is concerned. All children need physical activity! I am here to serve them all, because they all deserve special care, and they all definitely deserve to be healthy.
I coach a variety of youth sports from basketball, soccer, football, lacross and baseball. I am very active in the Mount Olive Recreation Department. I have also coached with the Twin Boro Bears Varsity Youth Football Team in Mendham, NJ in 2008, as their Strength and Conditioning Coach helping them to work on their speed and agility. I really enjoyed teaching and coaching these young athletes in a volunteer capacity as a way of giving back to my community. It provided me the opportunity to teach these kids proper skill sets so that they could become better athletes and increase their chances of staying healthy and injury-free. Being healthy and injury-free is important not only in sports but in every day life as well. It has been both and honor and privledge to have served in this capacity, as it is very rewarding to be a part of this program and watch these kids blossom.
